Books I’m Excited About In April 2021

Dear book diary,

Things seem to be getting busier, and I’ve spent less time reading this past month than I’d have liked. I’m 9 – count it – nine books behind on my GoodReads goal for the year, which was set at 50 books fewer than the number I hit last year. If you want to make God laugh, as they say, right?

I’m still looking forward to a handful of books for April, though. I’ve been on a Mystery/Suspense kick the past couple of weeks, bingeing the Morgan Dane series by Melinda Leigh. You’ll see I’m on Book #5 in the series just here below, and I’m excited in the directions the series is going, but also sad that it looks like the series ends after book 6. That means once I finish these last two, it’s off to find another series with a strong female lead to get my crime fiction fix.

Let’s see… what else…

Oh! I’ll share some pics from the back yard as I’m getting it ready, little by little, to spend time out there this summer. I love reading outside in the evenings when the last remnants of summer sun give way to the breezy summer nights.

What I’m looking forward to…
